Every one of you examples are legitimate for a truck to use the outside lane. No restrictions on A roads (unless local signs dictate otherwise) and also legal on a 2 lane motorway.

He said lane 3 - Try doing a Lane 3 overtake on a 2 lane d/c or Motorway and that’s Dangerous Driving in my book. Maybe you are one of these “keep it lit” types…?
