Hi there,
Anyone have any experience with the above? They keep calling me and are saying they are not a broker. Not much info online.
Cheers

They clearly are a broker. They say they have 55 locations throughout the UK. These are other trainers they farm work out to - so they are a broker. Don’t be surprised that they are lying to you - this is normal.
I have a feeling, in fairness, that they may have a few vehicles of their own. But I’m not even sure about that. And with the joys of Photoshop, you cant believe what you see.
I certainly wouldn’t put a picture of a LHD Volvo on the header of my website. Not very well thought through!

As an afterthought, call them and tell them where you are. Tell them you’d like to visit the nearest centre asap before you pay your money.
I’d love to hear the reply!!!

Ask for an assessment drive at the place where you will be doing the training before you part with any money - see what they say to that …
I think HGVexpress might have a few vehicles of their own in the greater London area but if outside that area they certainly farm you out to another school and take their cut before doing so
Ask how many days you get for X amount of money because their trick is to say you pay X for a course but you only get 4 days total whereas for the same X amount you get 5 days elsewhere

Unless the test is not part of the initial block of training, I don’t see how any trainer can promise that 5 days means 5 days. e.g. you might end up with an 8:30am test on the 5th day.
I don’t class my training provider as devious or underhanded but the sales pitch was " four days training on 2-1 basis" and test “on fifth day” and when pressed they openly said they would guarantee a warm up and reverse practise on test day, but any driving beyond that on the fifth day should be viewed as a bonus as the test time could be anywhere in day.
I was lucky that the 8:30 test got cancelled on my test day so I got a warm up directly before test (10am), it would have been at 7am otherwise! I used to be anti 2-1 training, but now I think it is ok if the instructor is good at managing the situation. About the only negative is if you end up with back-to-back tests, as the 2nd trainee is going in ‘cold’
I think the main principle is that the training school are up front and transparent about how it works.
