Just wondering if someone could help me out.
My driving license shows that my HGV entitlement ends in October but I have just had a renewal form saying it runs out next month. Could anyone explain to me why there are two different dates.
Have you got different dates for your photocard (credit card sized licence) and your category/entitlement expiry?

Thanks for getting back to me. Yes my driving licence says the 10th 2022 and my driver’s qualification card says the 9th 2024

What is the 4b date on your licence on the front?
That is the photo renewal date (every 10 years normally.
Your HGV renewal date will be on the back against your HGV entitlements.
My birthday is in Oct hence my HGV was due for renewal with a medical in Oct this year when I turn 45. My Photo card was 10 years old in July and I renewed it at the post office and my medical and hgv renewal date is now 2027.
So if you turn 45 before the photo card renewal you’ll have to do both as I understand it. If you turn 45 after renewing your photo card then you should get an extension til 2027 which is only 5 years not 10 years for the photo like I did. As I understand it.
So I now won’t do my medical until I’m 49.
