HGV Drivers Required

Can anyone please give some advice on where to find HGV drivers - for a small firm based near High Wycombe.
Local and European work available. Sorry if this should’ve been posted in another subject.

That’s never a good sign. Companies with decent pay and conditions never have to advertise. Companies who pay crap wages and/or treat drivers like crap end up having to resort to putting posts on forums.

Maybe a new company starting up or an established company looking to take their transport in house?

Cardo, too far for me to consider but maybe putting some more details up would get some interest.

by that logic we would never see any agencies touting fictitious jobs with fictitious wages in the hope of hooking someone gullible in to get them on their books…they would all be closed shops waiting for someone to retire so a newbie who knows the right handshake can get a toe in the door…if your wanting a good job with a god company, then its who you know that counts as well as knocking their door down with a eager beaver attitude.ive yet to see a eager beaver agency dobber…its always the,how long can drag this job out for as im paid by the hour. :unamused:

Although as had been said before the ‘no worries mate, take your time I’m paid by the hour’ is a good way of getting forkies etc., to get their finger out as it would kill them if they thought they were doing you a favour

You could do what many companies don’t… and try not to recruit for nothing on a website that pays its bills partly on helping companies recruit drivers, no matter how thinly vieled the post is- just a thought

Depends on the rates and benefits…

More details? ,or you could get some like like Switchalogic to work for you,and you would be turning people away at the door, as he will tell every one how good the job ,plant and hours are

I know of a very good well known and large transport company who is having trouble recruiting drivers, so is going to BG to recruit them. Although the work is clean, and reasonably paid for a 5 day week, it so happens that your weekend is taken on a weekday, as sat/sun must be worked every week, maybe thats why they cannot get drivers, as that arrangement doesnt suit everyone. The weekend working is told to drivers at interview.

Who’s that then, sounds good to me.

No he couldn’t as that is seen as breaking the rules. The site wants any sized company to go through an associate recruitment company. If you are looking for 10+ drivers they’re interested for for the odd one or two they’re not - something which the site admin don’t seem to understand.

Think I know who this guy is who’s looking for drivers and can vouch for a well run, professional company with top kit, so worth a punt if you’re looking for work in that area.
