HGV class 2 test - license sent off?

Hi,

I’ve got my class 2 practical on Monday coming. Just wondering, if I was to pass the test will the examiner keep hold of my license to send off to dvla? Or do I keep it and he sends off just my details? Assuming a pass of course.

Reason I ask is because Id like to rent a van the weekend after and would need the license for that.

Examiner does it electronically
You have to do it by post
Your choice

Can you go to the van rental place and get them to copy your licence prior to test :question:

Ye will give them a call and ask them to do that (make a copy).

Also got the gov.uk license share code these days I guess that may help.

Before you decide also take into consideration, if the examiner sends your license off then you can’t do module 4 untill you get your license back.
If you decide to send it off yourself then your test pass certificate also needs to be sent.

I went to the hire place and the took a copy, done all the paperwork in advance [emoji846]
