:grimacing: CONGRATULATIONS on gaining you CPC

For anybody who thinks CPC is tough, try the DGSA exams- cos they’re a real barrel of laughs.

Good luck to you Liz.

Awww please dont!! lol I have been told that its “open book” which i thought might be a little easier!!

with the cpc it was basically what i new already but more details ect… DGSA is something which is much newer to me!!

Welcome…
Yes the DGSA exam is open book, the problem is, that they are very thick books, and there are a lot of them :stuck_out_tongue:

Hi Wheel Nut, That was when ADR was done with an abacus and ‘marginals’.

Nowadays, the Regs have been consolidated (in '04 and '05) so now there’s only CDG 2007 and The DGEAC List for UK tanker and bulk use, plus the two volumes of ADR 2007.
That pretty much covers the book requirements for the DGSA exams. :grimacing:
The books are a bit thicker than previously though… :frowning:

Welcome to TruckNet Liz

hiya Liz and welcome. I’m originally from pontefract myself although we moved to sunny blackpool quite some time ago now. Still have family in dewsbury though. I’ve gotta ask this but is your avatar a picture of you? :open_mouth:…if so I wish I’d have stayed where I was

Seems like I have missed quite a bit Dave. I dont remember exactly which modules I failed but by the time I got round to resitting them my core and road modules had run out. memory fails me as to the actual passes.

Hi Wheel Nut, It seems that SQA has kept the same format for the DGSA exams as when I did mine.

There’s Core and Road modules as you said, but then there’s several options for the Classes.
You can do specialisms in Classes 1, 2, 3 or 7 OR
you can do ‘general’ chemical classes ie 3, 4.1, 4.2, 4.3, 5.1, 5.2, 6.1, 6.2, 8 and 9 OR
you can do all classes.

3 It’s interesting to note that the class three specialism only covers you for three substances :open_mouth:
UN1202 DIESEL, UN1203 PETROL and UN1223 KEROSENE

So I guess it’s what you selected for ‘classes’ that you forgot.
 That happens to the best of us mate.:grimacing:
