Should be defined in your terms of business you got them to sign along with the penalties for late payment.

Basic rule of being a subbie is money payment on the right agreed day !
If you have not got that right you should Not be in business.

I have seen some threads on here about other company’s taking 90 days to pay out just thought how long does hermes take ?
I’d speak to their accounts dept for a more accurate answer.
It’s probably better to get the info from them, and you’ll have the opportunity to present them with your T’s & C’s regarding payments
You really should of known better asking on here we a are due a full moon. Lost count of the amount of threads recently that just decend into drivel even some offering a potential job gets ruined by an idiot.

Being self employed is far more than being paid an extra quid an hour by an agency or a company, especially on the umbrella payment route (read scam) . HMRC are now crawling all over people that in theory are meant to be employees nowadays as Mr Cameron and co want their share of NI contributions !!! .There are enough threads on this subject to keep you in reading for a week . I would stay as an employee if I were you as one day the bills will catch up with you, Unless it’s your truck etc etc etc , which I doubt.
And As Conor and I said before…Doing it properly it will be in your terms and conditions…
You are paid the week after’ that is presuming you are a self employed driver and not a owner driver.

The answer that Conor gave you!
Surely you went through your terms and conditions with them when you went self employed, so the answer is right there.

FIxed that for ya… The moon is full right now, and goes into the earth’s shadow about right now as well.

Like I said in my first reply:
It depends on what you stated in your terms of business that you got them to sign. You negotiate payment terms with them, you write them into your terms of business, you get them to sign them. It should then take no longer than that from when you submit an invoice to being paid. I’ve done weekly, monthly and 60 days depending on what I agreed with my customers.
You sure you’re doing the right thing being self employed when you don’t even know this fundamental basic of doing business?

hi i have not signed anything yet ,as in my last post i am meerly trying to work out how long it takes to get paid ,( and i have had an answer) you don’t even know my circumstances so why do you say it might not be for me ?
It depends on what you stated in your terms of business that you got them to sign I HAVE NOT SIGNED A CONTRACT YET
robf1234:

Because you don’t even know the fundamental basics about setting terms and conditions which include a term stating what the payment schedules are. If you don’t even know the basics of running a business you shouldn’t be even thinking of running one until you’ve learnt them.
I HAVE NOT SIGNED A CONTRACT YET
So it could be anything until you’ve negotiated. You are going to be one of their suppliers. There is nothing in law that says what one supplying company gets the others get so just because one company has negotiated weekly terms doesn’t automatically mean your company will.
