I see the the artics coming in through the night (Newbridge , Edinburgh). I’m just wondering are these Scottish based trucks or do they come up from the south?. When and if I pass my class c+e was going to knock on there the door see if any jobs are available as I’m doing night shift at the moment and prefer it tbh .

Not sure to be honest but i deliver next door to it and seen artics parked there during the day
I thought they would be England based ah well , there’s a Dhl yard in Newbridge too , I think it’s agency that do there artic work , might pop in .
I’d imagine lots of the parcel companies have artics based up here, makes more business sense, vans come back with parcels you leave with them for the hub at 6pm then come back up to local depot 6am for the vans to take out in the morning.
Thats how its operated in companies ive done shifts for in the past, City Link, Home Delivery Network, DHL etc…
Was talking to 2 of their drivers a few months ago at Newbridge and they said they had come up from Carlisle
They run up from locksteed way, Burtonwood @ Warrington omega North M62 opposite Burtonwood services in Cheshire! They’ll have article based in Scotland, as they’ll need to travel further north! Night trunks from Warrington. 
I know the guy who does Scotland for Hermes and they are based in Bedworth, if they are MAN’s, Same yard as Bedworth Haulage.

I used to trunk to Hermes Newbridge (when it was Parcelnet) and there were only two units based at Newbridge then.

A lot bigger now they cram all the trucks into that wee fenced of yard like a sheep pen lol and still some more in communial yard and then there’s quite a few artics when I pass in the morning . I think they have outgrew the place and the ex dpd yard is lying empty 500 yards away.
Yeah looks like it’s all subcontractor trucks pulling all the trailers…
Victa, there were only two units but would be around 6-7 trailers at any one time plus all of the puddle jumpers
It was a crap yard even when they bought it but better than the previous one at ■■■■■■■■■■■■
