I generally take everything the Express write with a pinch of salt, but if this is true, it’ll be another nail in the coffin of the EU. Presumably the paymasters in Brussels could deduct the 250k euros from the payments to Poland etc, that would cause even more disruption to the fragile EU state.

Not every one who wants to stay is scared or “better the devil you know type”. Just as some hold strong views on wanting to leave, others hold equally strong views about staying, but are just sick to the back teeth of being shouted down

Assuming left means what’s good for the working class it’s time to smash the idea that the bleeding heart pro Islamic Socialists have the monopoly on being so called ‘left’.In which case there’s no advantage to British workers in British jobs for German or East European workers or having the country taken over by Merkel’s Stasi Socialist Eurasian project.
While if it’s all about helping ‘refugees’ then it’s obviously best to keep them in their own culture in rich relatively ‘stable’ parts of the Middle East like the Gulf States of Dubai,Saudi and Kuwait.But that obviously doesn’t fit the Socialist script of an inter ethnic Eurasian Federation.

The obvious question then being how did we still end up with a large in vote in 1975.When the majority of the Labour Party and Unions were anti EU on the basis of actually knowing full well that the treaty of Rome was a Federal European agenda in which we knowingly gave up sovereignty from the start.
The ‘devil we knew’ in that case being the status quo as it stood in 1972 of the highest economic growth on record and a trade surplus with Europe and the situation of the Unions having never been stronger before or since on the basis of loads of British jobs for British workers.Combined with not having to pay a fortune in net contributions to the EU which could be spent in the domestic public sector instead.
As opposed to the effectively overnight reversal of that situation from 1973 on.All because the Labour Party was torn between not knowing or understanding the difference between Socialism v Nationalism.With,as a result,people like Heffer and Benn not even knowing they were Nationlists and thereby contradicting their own ( correct ) position on Europe.IE Socialism by definition means the anti thesis of the Nation State and therefore National sovereignty.

You’ve answered your own question.Socialism by definition means the dissolution of the Nation State and National borders in favour of Federal centralised government rule by people like Merkel and Junker. If you want to keep the idea of the Nation State and national sovereignty that means Nationalist which,contrary to the Socialist propaganda,doesn’t mean ■■■■.Nazism just being an impossible contradiction in actually being a form of Socialism that takes advantage of the Nationalist vote.

Anything that doesn’t fit the Socialist script being considered as ‘right wing’ by them.The Emotional blackmail card like the racist one all being part of their armoury.The question in this case being why the importance in bringing the problem here when there are far better alternatives which keep the ‘victims’ within their own cultures and which have more resources to deal with the influx than we do.

That’s an easy million votes in favour straight away, they are hardely going vote out if it means having to faff about for a VISA.
