Hereford to Welshpool

Hi Guys, just a quick one. Got to get to Welshpool in the morning from Hereford, looking at the map the A489 + A490 looks the route or do you think go to Shrewsbury and then A458 to Welshpool. Artic and 14’ high. Thanks in advance for any advice. Have a good evening!

I live in Craven arms
The route you say is ok for an artic.
Just when you turn off the A49 onto The A489, the first few milkes have got some narrow bad bends, so beware,
but the route is ok after that
