Here we go, the video vigilantes will be out in force

Born Idle:
My dash cam caught an HGV driver going for about 100 yards with 2 wheels (well, about 12 actually but you know what I mean) on the pavement towards a blind left bend, because the carriageway was hampered by a queue of cars coming the other way who were all slowly overtaking a line of parked cars. It really was impatience at its worse, and saved him a whole 30 seconds. Rather than shop him to Plod, I sent the clip to his company.
The reply? “Well, he couldn’t get past could he!”

I was sorely tempted to send the clip to the law after that. Maybe next time!

It is fairly obvious that some of the non grassers that mind their own business have never has anyone close to them seriously injured or killed by a driver who refuses to stick to the law and is extremely selfish and only thinks of himself all the time.FACT.

And i suppose youve never broken any laws/rules/regs in your life?? You can bend the rules be it tacho, run extra weight and hoss on without being a danger to anyone. Im far from whiter than white but NEVER drive to endanger innocent lives and in my judgement (that judgement being 100% correct) totally 100% safe in what i do.
If others do daft things on the road i just let them get on with it and so should you. Its not up to the likes of you or anyone else for that matter to report them. You go through life grassing and dobbing others in it and karma will eventually bite you hard in the ar5e… :grimacing:

You can bend the rules be it tacho, run extra weight and hoss on without being a danger to anyone What a statement from a so called professional driver.

Completely deluded pal and I guarantee karma will bite your backside very hard one day.Met your type so often. You are one of the drivers that give our industry a bad name.
Just to keep you right seeing you dont understand English I have never dobbed any driver in.

The typical ‘give our industry a bad name’ type arent you , you really dont live in the real world :unamused: 25 years working the way i do all over europe without one single issue says karma doesnt give a [zb] about me. Dont tell me…you used to deliver fence panels in a day cab Leyland Freighter and a long run was Travis Perkins Dover… :grimacing:

I am beginning to wonder if you have a mind of your own.I have never given the industry a bad name infact I have contributed in many ways but I will not share that with the likes of you or anyone else on here.
Maybe you are just a wind up merchant,I am not really sure tbh but you come across as a real arrogant know all that thinks nothing will ever happen to you.Big deal you have driven for 25 years in Europe without an issue.(very hard to believe that for a start) but are you not clever enough to realise it does not matter how much experience you have it can still happen to you very easily.
Most drivers in the graveyard thought exactly the same as you before it all went wrong and the majority were probably not multi tasking at the time.
Now I was probably driving trucks when you were still in nappies and have seen and done most things in transport including European work.
My first truck was not a Leyland it was a Scammell Crusader and I probably did more miles in it that you have done in a lifetime.
Stay safe pal and stop sounding like a plonker. :open_mouth: Bye

Ill happily admit i am arrogant (ive been told enough times by my missus)but nothing WILL happen to me (at least nothing that will be my fault) as i drive 100% safe 100% of the time, important to me as to not be a danger to anyone else using the road. My tacho records are exemplary, they never show over hours or speed infringements and ive NEVER been pulled for anything in Europe other than speeding offences as my truck is top notch. I do 4K km a week without issue month in month out and ive been doing Europe for 25 years plus but youre welcome to believe whatever you like . Maybe you were actually driving when i was in nappies but im clever enough and experienced enough and most of all, laid back and unstressed enough NOT to end up in an early grave…

Franglais:
there wasnt any blood n` guts, or squashed kittens

Im very obviously of the demographic thats doesnt give a flying ■■■■ what anyone else does on the road but…squashed kittens?? Thats a definite no no… :grimacing:

This place is finished…I am selling up and gone…Really, why would you want to live in this society?

Brave man to tempt the devil :open_mouth:

Andrew, you keep telling us proudly that you do 4000 km every week, that your tacho records are always clean, and that you cleared about 75.000 last year.

3×9 is 27
2×10 is 20
20+27 is 47 hours driving.
47 hours × 80kmph is 3760 kms.
And over a fortnightly 90 hours driving, that’s 7.290 kms. So wether you make your milage sound better than it is, or wether you run bend, is something only you know. But please stop the holier than thou ‘I run 100% clean’. You dont. You speed. You have mentioned the software dodge here several times.

Malaga to Calais works out around 2050-2070 km depends which yard i drop/swop at, theres two. Malaga to Reims is slightly less at 1925km. My weekly distance is correct, ive been doing it for a long time. I said my tacho records are exemplary, yes clean, times/hours are all spot on inc speed which records a max of 90kph. Limiter is set very slightly higher at 100kph, im not denying that. I dont have the view im holier than anyone on this forum as im very obviously not… far from it…

Im not superstitious, and never had any problems. (Touch wood). Betting is a mugs game if youre betting against the House, the odds are generally in the Houses favour. The most expensive car outside the Casino is normally owned by the Casino boss. . . .
But to pick up Andrew on one point: “100 % safe”. How can you possibly say that?
You can say, accurately, that you attempt to drive 100% safe but NONE of us are good and accurate judges of our own abilities. Ask anyone if they are good drivers and over 99% will say they are average or above in safety, and this is obviously impossible. We can all be making mistakes of which we are ignorant. After all if we, and you, make a mistake we will correct that mistake, but its the mistakes we cant see that catch us out.
Try this for a little light reading before going to lunch?

I really do not know what your problem is?Reckon you must be bored or just cannot understand English.Let me explain seeing you are struggling to comprehend anything.

Just because you are an experienced driver of many years does not make you infalable from accidents infact it may do the opposite through complacency and especially someone who claims to muti task when driving.

Now its you along with Mr Arrogant that is talking like a plonker. Are you 100% safe all the time as well? :unamused:

Its good to see someone who appreciates my acting skills. I cant keep the illusion going for very long though.

No ones imune from RTC’s (no such thing as accidents) but doing your utmost 100% of the time to make sure its not your fault is what its about. Experience does not make someone complacent, what experience eventually does is give a sixth sense to be able to react to things going on ahead and around you without even thinking about it and that goes for simple multi tasking. As an example, using a phone (yes, we all know its banned) is well within the remit of an experienced driver but its not going to be for someone with less time on the road.

Back to the topic at hand now ladies.

These videos, are they going to be reviewed by a member of the plod? If they are then that should weed out the ones that were sent in by some self righteous ■■■■■ that thinks they have been done wrong.
