hi to all, heres some photos of white Volvos Hercocks first had, one of which was mine, befor then i had a Layland links then after the Volvo i had DAF 3300 they did 75MPH but not me we all drove at the speed limit!!! mmm! lol

Mick H-Parkes told me a funny story about Ian Anderson wanting a CB name, and they told him to use the name " sherman tanker " whilst not telling him, what it really meant !

yeah Dave and shirley came to my dads funeral have known the family since i was a nipper very sad not may of the old lads left!!!
Hi guys dave Donald here it’s been a joy to know hercocks Leicester still holds fond memories.
I worked at hercocks from 1978 until Malcolm and Fred started m.b.h.
I still do the runs into Europe with denby transport been here since 1988.sorry to read of roger kings passing and dave bright.most of the names that Chris Geary mentions I worked with havin done my first trip to Italy with ■■■■ sarel and graham Furness. I still keep in touch with willie hannah(buck) he is retired now and often talks about his time at hercocks. heres a couple of names not on list terry swanson/Rupert allan(bear) and does anyone know where the black flash went.
my ants husband worked at H and S in his holidays during the late 60s and early 70 s as he was friends with the families he was a student then working on the pumps and sometimes in the traffic office giving out loads of coal he knows nothing about transport really .
Talking of Daves,Dave Speake is alive and well or wellish my mate spoke to him in Beaumont leys a few weeks ago thank god.He didn’t know he was dead either
does anyone remember this company my dad used to drive for them in the 70s they used to send over 50 trucks a week to europe sadly my dads health has caught up with him now i think it was from going italy and back in a week.i have driven on the continent myself been to benelux,germany.poland,france,italy,spain,portugal,and greece i absouloutly loved it,and would go back tomorrow but i have a good job in uk(no nights out)and a very loving wife so im happy here,but it is great to find this site and remember the old trucks and companys.congratulations to all this is a great site
