There is a nice Autohoff at Bensheim. Been awhile since i was there so not sure if open all week end but i would have thought so good food and close to shops and only 10 mins from Heppenheim. “enjoy”

It’s a German autohof - Open 24/7/365

Nice 1. Been here since 2pm not bad. I have walked into town very nice.

Try the pork knuckle, make sure you are hungry

Or the pork or veal Schitznel, breacrumbs on the outside, the size of a steering wheel.

That’s a nice welcome back.Ashford truckstop £23

Take 2nd road off ashford exit head into town to first island, turn right into industrial estate keep going to top and you should find somewhere to park, the sign posted truck park at this island has a barrier across it. Walk back down to island turn right then first left and this will take you to the high street where you will find loads of food, its just over a mile i would say. I can recommend the wetherspoons Tuesday night steak club £5.99 steak and a drink.

That’s all well and good, but the problem with parking on the side of the road on a industrial estate is that the bathroom facilities are usually sadly lacking, and in the morning when you get out for your much needed ■■■■ you have to be careful not to tread in someone else’s sh*t. Not sure if that’s a health and safety issue.

I think we all already knew the draw backs with parking in an industrial estate. Health and safety rules are for idiots with no common sense made by people justifying their existence. I’m a big boy now so I’ll just look where I’m walking and keep £15 in my pocket as I’m only given £8 towards parking. I do use msa’s when I don’t know off an alternative.

save your 15 quid to pay towards getting the clamp off, they are quite active since spending millions on parking areas in kent

I make sure I don’t park anywhere near clamping signs and there are no restrictions posted, and as the gaffa told me to ask his brother who is one of our drivers where he parks in ashford they can pay any clamping fee’s.

Not sure about this saving money thing, isn’t it the company that is saving the cost of contributing to your over night parking with civilised facilities. Don’t know how the law stands on this, but i think its the employers responsibility to care for the health and welfare of its workforce in factory’s ,offices ect. does this not count when the employee is away on company business. surely when he tells you to park in lay by/ind est he is not acting responsibly.
