Hi all doing my first trip to sweden next week, does any of you know anywhere decent to park helsingborg? ideally with a few bars and restaurants nearby. many thanks.
try looking through this SITE
and use a map at the same time , i can not get it to change in to
English,
You can park in the port, on the right as you get off the boat, you’ll see the area. Not sure what’s around locally, seem to recall there is a hotel opposite and a filling station just outside the port.
At least i can park in port, thats good to know. thanks.
Two things that puzzles me about Sweden are that there do not appear to be any emergency telephones on the motorway, and that there are no kilometre markings on either the road or the motorway markers to indicate whereabouts you are on the motorway- unless I have missed them?
if you park in the port you are less than 5 mins away from the town centre plenty of pubs and restaurants, take loads of cash as its very expensive
yes been told by another one of our drivers that it very expensive in sweden. only want to get a couple of beers somewhere. like to get out the cab of a evening if i can.
when your on the 1st ferry from puttgarden buy a pack of carlsberg black gold its only about 13 euros and try it you won’t be dissapointed its spot on
Not only is beer ludicrously expensive in Sweden, it’s all but impossible to find anything over 3.5% so as recommended, buy a case on the Puttgarden ferry.
I imagine a couple of small beers in a bar would see off at least £15 nowadays.
