helping hand

got a phone call from my brother in law today nothing unusual about that he phones 2 or 3 times a week and tells me what im missing not being on the road any way he proceeds to tell me about how he got shafted this morning when his 4 drops got turned into nine anyway he gets to a drop and its frozen slabs of pork now all his previous drops had been chilled.so anyway he lifts the partion door in the trailer and the meat goes everywhere ,ive seen more rap around my sarnies than them pallets he says so the guy on the forklift tells him to either restack em or take em back so he starts to restack em now to the point of this little story there was a inovate logistics a reed bordell and a slovakian waiting to tip.who do ya think gave my brother in law a hand restacking the pallets.the SLOVAKIAN driver did now doesnt that tell how far gone down the river camaradery has gone between drivers in this country and thats why we,ll never get what we want because of the im alright jack stuff you attitude of some drivers in this country .

Exactly the gist of many of my posts Carl, it will always be the foreign driver who will lend a hand, or even a strap, they will watch you reverse or even as in my case last week buy you a coffee.

Most of the UK drivers are too busy thinking up excuses why they shouldnt climb in the back of the trailer

I would’ve helped him

Like Wheel Nut, I have been saying this all the time there are people bleating about “Eastern Europeans coming over here nicking our jobs”. I would far rather sit and try to have a chat with a foreigner than a Brit sometimes…you actually get more sense out of the foreigners!!
Hope your brother was appreciative, carl

knowing my brother in law i would say so he,s scottish but generous to a fault which makes me wonder if he is in fact scottish as he,s not tight with his money at all  .but on a serious point i do wish people would stop slagging off eastern european drivers yes there wages are lower but so is the cost of living in there country of origin and there not the the only ones to leave a mess in a morning after an overnight stop.there drivers earning a living which compared to alot of us keeps them away from there wives and children alot longer than a week or a fortnight.so please think on before you av ago about them cuz one day you might need a hand

Thanks Carl truer words have never been said ,the drivers from these countrys will help you out when they see you haveing problems , all ways,
