Help with hire of vehicle or someone who is avaliable

Hello all again, Since i am still waiting for insurance to pay out for my wagon,i am in need urgently to hire a 18tonner with beavertail or crane bigger enough to lift 3.5ton machine. I need this for monday morning early as possible. Or if you know someone who is free with there vehicle to pickup machine from halifax and take to doncaster in the morning. I was borrowing a wagon but guy rang me today :open_mouth: and said the wagon isnt avaliable so now i am left in the crap house. :imp: I am in manchester so any hire firms in this area please if anyone knows one.

i thought they only did thier own work,as they took my number last year for me to move containers for their non customers who rang up for moving items for them. But i still give them a try if i cannot hire a wagon myself.

Try Diamond H 01942 717733 ask for Steve he has about 10 hiabs of various sizes but they’ll all lift 3.5t, he’s in from 7am ish.

hi woody, well i am that bloke but not a bloke but a young lady who had that wagon nick in nov. :slight_smile: . Well job needed to be on monday and i had to let the customer down as the only hiab wagons avaliabe to hire where either in scotland or leighton buzzard to collect. Insurance offer crap money for wagon and it wouldnt of paid for the crane, i had to get a indenpdent valuetion done. i still in disscussion with them. Being told that to speak to the onbudsmans about it as it is 4 months now and i have lost over £4000 - £5000 of work from one firm, i have done 1 or 2 jobs but that is cos a friend of mine lets me use is wagon for jobs which dont required the crane and thats not many. But it looks like and be best to get a wagon on finance as it be cheaper then hiring one at £500+vat a week, and my business couldnt cope with paying that just for the wagon and adding the other cost it be atleast £1000- £1500 per week. Cheers anyway and speak soon.
