Help with costing to Greece required

Hi

Im looking at running to Greece but have never done this run before ( times are getting hard but Im sure most have already noticed ). Can anyone advise what the costs are likely to be with tolls etc? Also what would be the most cost effective route.
On a different topic if anyone knows of any decent paying benelux / French work for a euroliner I would be more than interested.

Many thanks

Graham

Graham which way are you going to travel as this dictates what level your
costs will be ie, F-I-GR , or B-NL-D-A-I-GR;useing the ferrysto GR; OR the route through F-B-D-A-H-RO-BG-GR; WILL YOU USE THE TRAIN SERVICE in Germany,
ALSO have you taken the driveing bans into consideration when costing
for the job as these bans in the summer time will make the job harder
same goes for the ferrys from I to GR as the car passengers will be more
welcome than the truckers, also if useing the german roads how old is your truck
as a euro 1 motor pays more per kilometer than a euro 4/5 about 50%-60%
more,

Hi Brit Pete

Thanks for the reply, I would have to go via Italy as my insurance doesn’t cover BG or RO. To be honest I don’t think there would be enough in the job to make it worth while ( around £4500 round trip ) and I would be responsible for paying for ferries between Italy and Greece. I will keep plugging away at France and Benelux for now and just hope things improve sooner rather than later
Thanks again

Graham
