If its just to drive tractor unit to present check. Why does she need c+e?
A very moving story and a terrible ordeal, it just strikes odd that she wants to take and present a cheque in a tractor unit, would it not be better to present a cheque for £900 more to the hospital and forget driving it herself or leave the trailer off if she wants to drive it herself. I am sure some one would volunteer to drive her to the hospital in a tractor unit + trailer rather than having to spend £900 + more. What if she fails? dos the fund keep going up? Sounds a bit suspect to me, sorry.
That’s what fund raising is all about she’s struggling and trying to better her self in the process I think good on her if anybody doesn’t want to help her or the trust she’s helping don’t, and leave the negative comments
Very tragic but why should we fork out our hard earned when she isn’t doing anything? At least do something worthwile, swim the channel or run round the M25, like other people who want to raise money do.

Imaginative way to fund her licence. I wish her well but
A’m oot!
I’m a cynical ■■■■■■ at the best of times, me ( noooo I hear you say ), but I find the act of combining both the collection for the hospital (very worthy) and the collection for her driving training a bit tawdry. I think she should have separated them, into two events. What happens if she collects £950 ? She going to take a cheque for £50 to the hospital? (In an artic??)
Was her fella a trucker? If so I can kind of see why it’s important for her to deliver this money in a lorry.
But as it stands it sounds a bit trying to kill two birds with one stone.

She’s raising £5000 not £900
I donated £15 to somebody a few weeks back on their justgiving page. Looked at my bank statement a few days later and the £15 had gone out of my account, but so had £9 to paypal !
Good luck to the lass though.
As much as I sympathise with her, I don’t think it is right to ask for money using things like ‘Go fund me’ or other options. I have been suffering with a rare cancer of the blood since November of last year, people have suggested that I use such an option to help with the outrageous half million dollar bill so far for my treatment. I choose not to, I will not bring myself to beg from anyone.
I mean no disrespect to this lady and I hope she gets what she wants but by some other means.

Don’t the health service cover it !? Or the private medical payments you make? Sorry, not up to speed on the American health service. I wish you well in your battle.
Why not help this lady out, read the full story before being negative, she is trying to build a better life for her and her young daughter, she has already struggled financially to do her class 2 now she needs a bit of help for her class 1,and she is also raising funds for a very good cause.I have donated if we all just gave a £1 each we could help, come on give her a hand, she is certainly no scrounger, if she was she would be living off benefits which she is adamant she doesn’t want to do,thank you.

So because she wants a better life and has struggled financially, we should all give her money?

She has a full time job, loads of others struggle to get a class 2 class 1, there Is no reason to fund her class 1 …, do what others do save up.
However much you can sympathise with this ladies terrible ordeal, the fact remains that she is using the terrible story to fund her class 1 licence. She has now just re written her plea to everyone. She wants to collect £5000 for the Hospital but she will take £900 from that money to fund her licence, under the guise that she wants to drive a tractor unit to hand the money over. I am sorry but this is totally wrong and by not doing anything but asking for money from people to fund this is not an acceptable way to gain your class 1 licence. I want to better my life too and so does everyone. If I appealed to raise 10k for a charity and fly the money to them in a helicopter, out of the 10k I would use some of the money to fund my pilots licence, I am sure I would not get very far.

Like I said read the full story she doesn’t have a full time job.

Hmm, she’s also changed the picture that goes with it. And she’s removed the blatant advertising for the driving school…
Cynical? Moi?

Cynical I would say you are.
she might do better sitting in the high street with a mcdonalds cup in her hand, the romanian beggers are only doing the same as her…to be fair, she had a good enough sob story to try for a spot on britains got talent.i wonder how much the fund would get to if it was a single parent dad and not a humpable bit of totty…blatently pathetic and scummy strikes my first thought.
