Any personal experience with the company from any one?
No, sorry mate.
On your original question: Basic salary means they offer to pay you £x-per-year (paid monthly/weekly) in return for y-hours-per-year worked.
They will usually specify how many hours that y-hrs-per-year converts into z-hrs-per-pay-period. e.g. paid weekly, contracted to do 30hrs a week, you do 31 they have to pay you for the 30hrs as usual + 1hr @ minimum wage (or whatever overtime rate they specify in the contract).
Finally, good luck!
