Help on wierd working week please

Hello people. I just wondered if anybody can give me a bit of advice please.
I’m working with an agency at the moment and am not used to the irregularity of the work and how it affects my weekly rest etc. Anyway, here goes.

16.7.09 Thurs. 3 hours (induction)
17.7.09 Fri. 13 hours 19.00 finish
18.7.09 Sat 11.5 hours 15.30 finish
19.7.09 Sun 12.5 hours 20.00 finish
20.7.09 Mon No work
21.7.09 Tues. 8.5 hours 17.15 finish
22.7.09 Wed No work

I’m planning on working Thurs and Fri. and having Sat and Sun off.
Have I worked it out right or should I not be working the Friday.
I’m not used to these split weekly rest periods and I know I’ve got to be careful when I accept a job.
I would appreciate any advice lads, thanks. jed

I’m going to assume you’ve had a full 45 hour weekly rest this week before starting this shift pattern of Thursday ?

If that’s the case I can’t see anything wrong with what you’re going to do, well I can’t see anything wrong even if you haven’t yet had a full weekly rest.

You’ll be having a 36.75 hour reduced weekly rest from 20:00 Sunday to 08:45 Tuesday then a full weekly rest on Saturday/Sunday.

With the information given it all looks good but how you’ll stand for paying back any reduced weekly rest will depend on what you’ve done so far this week.

Thanks tacho. When your’e not used to these shift patterns it can be a bit awkward. Thanks again tacho.
