Help needed transit driver

When I was 17 I was working in the building trade as an apprentice bricklayer for a small builder & I thought over loading was the norm.
When the little 350cc Honda vans came out we use to load ours up with well over a ton most weeks.
The Trannie was one of the old sliding door ones & when fully loaded, i.e. when the bumper was about to hit the floor, the free play in the steering, use to make it weave so badly that unless you were a very brave soul, no one ever over took & that was despite top speed dropping to 20 mph at times.

i once had a merc 407 p reg it had a tacho cos the previous owner Edwards ran with trailers pulling carbodies…we used tacho just to show hours worked falt out it 100k but was so noisy i ranit at 90

Are Edwards still about? I use to see loads of them in Meer at the weekend, and a lad who I drink with in Melbourne used to drive for them
