Ive just been given a MAN to drive,i
ve put my cb in,put the mag mount on the back of the cab but im getting a load of interference when the engine is revved up.I
ve read somewhere that the fuel pump is causing it.
How can i get it sorted? do i need to move the earial? I tried to put it on the side of the cab but that didn`t work.
All help is very much appreciated.
you could try a direct feed from the battery to the 24v to 12v dropper.
or snip the red wire from the dropper to the CB, then put a capacitor inline, this should absorb any static.
It sounds complicated, but it’s easy. one wire in, one wire out.
Although to be honest unless you own the truck I doubt your boss will let you start putting ground straps everywhere.

Put a capacitor inline, it will also block the DC! Either put the capacitor across the red & black, or much better use a proper supressor, places like Maplins and so on which cater for the boy racer brigade will usually have this sort of stuff, for making sure that they can get maximum noise out of their Novas.
