We don’t need Polish moderators, because posting in any language other than English is against the rules.
I therefore think that this thread has carried on for long enough, on this tangent at least
Behave fellas

Point taken, to a degree, but surely Welsh people would be allowed to post in Welsh? It is, after all, an officially recognised language in the UK.

Sorry mate, but
Rule 5 < snipped >. This is an English language board and therefore any post made in any other language without obvious reason within the context of a thread, will be treated as Spam. (Sorry to be quoting ‘The Rools’, n all that, but it’s the simplest way
)
There was, IMHO, reason and context earlier, on the Polish language tangent.
I can understand the point about profanity etc but would it not be illegal under race relations law to have such a rule?
OK, we are going off at a tangent, but as I understand it, it would be an offence in the UK to say that Welsh users cannot post in Welsh.

I don’t know Harry, but.
If a Welsh speaking, Welsh user complained to the management about it.
Preferably with the race relations law chapter and verse, so it could be verified, then presumably that rule would have to be changed.
But, there are also plenty of much bigger forums than this one, with the same rule.
It’s a fairly standard rule in most forums, English not necessarily being the language they use obviously
If any of these had received a complaint, all forums would have been notified by the companies who write and supply the forum software, I would have thought… They wouldn’t want to loose their customers due to them being sued.

■■■■. Should I delete my Polish-English trucker’s dictionary then?

Your Polish-English trucker’s dictionary is fine Orys.
There’s a multi-lingual one around somewhere too; Spanish, German, French and Italian, but that was just a thread. We didn’t make it a sticky, because there was no translation

I see…
So as long as I will translate it I can use foreign languages?
That’s great, I can insult someone with really hard words, then just add some "[zb]"s at the end of it…

Nope
Because someone will know what you’ve written and complain.
Then we would have to remove stuff.
We would much rather you follow our rules, in the spirit in which they are intended.
■■■■.Always the same.
Only you find some useful loophole, then they come and say “the spirit of the law says…” and put you to the jail for some frauds or delete your posts.

Continuing the tangent(as the OP has had good answers to his question).Harry Monk-Do I detect a bit of devil’s advocate here?As a Welsh speaker-I would not dream of posting in my language on here-IMO it would be rude to do so-forum rules apart. The occasional ‘Iechyd da’ or ‘Cymru am byth’ would not I suspect be frowned on???Anyway, your photo of the border at Kolbaskowo was a reality check-changed a bit, haven’t they? Also, your comment about the pronunciation of Lodz. What about Chocholow–pronounced Hohouve?.Sorry,Orys I can’t make my keyboard spell in Polish.
Anyway, just to drag things back on subject, here’s a short video tutorial showing a MAUT machine and how it works, which my buddy Paul filmed this week on a double-manned trip to the Glorious Fatherland…
A pretty good vid mate.
I reckon there’s gotta be a bit of ‘time lapse’ video in there somewhere though, to get it down to just under 4 minutes

I hope thats a compliment Orys

Nice one, Harry.
Very informative video for those who have not used these machines before (like me ).
Think I’ll stick to my On Board Unit, mind
It would drive me right up the wall if I had to do that on a daily basis.
Takes me all my time to remember to enter the correct number of axles into the OBU depending on whether I’m running solo or with the drag
I completely agree, we just don’t go to Germany often enough to justify having the box fitted- I believe it is half a day in the workshop and £200.
Quite why they can’t use a siimilar systam to the Austrian go-box is beyond me.
Because they are thinking ahead when every EU country
brings in the same system of road charges, it will be possible to
use the OBU unit in those country’s that take the german system
which has been proved to be a workable system,Plus it will allow
more control of who is one the roads with the video and data
held by the recording data ,

That would have been way too simple, Harry.
Also, using a system developed by the Össis (Austrians) would have been a definite non starter for the big brother next door
