Help needed costing Italy run

Just been offered what sounds like a good rate for a run to Milan. Not done Euro work before so need to cost it up, tolls etc, and plan the best route.
Is there a website or a good source of information to help me?

Thanks in advance.

trip to italy,as well,#
where are you heading for in ITALY , also
from where in the UK will you be starting
as this dictates which route is chesapest.
what type of engined motor do you have
is it EURO 3 OR HIGHER, as this effects
the maut costs in some countrys,
also the train service in germany has
different trailer heights one says up to
4.00m and the other only allows 3.60m
how tall is your lorry-trailer combination.

Hello Speck

Hers some info which might help you, although bear in mind they are for a
12 m rigid not a artic,so your tolls will be a bit more.

I dont know which way you are going but i went the following way.

Caen to Paris tolls one way were 26.90 euros
Fleury (Paris) to Viry nr Geneva tolls one way 94.40 euros expensive!
Mont Blanc tunnel return toll 204.40 euros again remember its for a rigid so
yours will be more.
Tolls in Italy are much cheaper i went from Aosta to Salerno past Naples
and it only cost 69.10 euros.

Remember to keep your head lights on at all times speed limit is 90 kms

Make sure you have got all of your docs as you have to go via a control area
before you reach the climb for Mont Blanc and get a ticket which tells the toll
booth at the tunnel what euro2/3/4/5 your engine is ,makes a difference to
the toll. Also on the way back from Italy there is a control area along way from
the tunnel about 30/40 minutes before you reach it.Actually your tunnel toll
might be cheaper as my trucks quite old if you have a new one ■■?
Theres a website for the tunnel i will see if i can find it and post the link.

Dont forget your camera as its a stunning drive!

Im sure others will add other things bit i hope that helps.

.

Speed limit is actually 80

It would be helpful if you knew which way you were shipping. When i was working for s and k we always shipped dover Calais, due to huge discounts.

From Calais it would be Reims, Dijon, Lyon, Blanc tunnel and your there.

Used to be able to get to Carisio in 2 cards from Barry South Wales, with time to spare

Yeah sorry daleyboy is right 80  however no bugger was keeping to it
everything was overtaking me most doing 90 some even faster !
