HELP - Driver crashes and hops it

The boy driving this truck was unfortdunate to crash but what he did after has landed him into a lot of bother and left his boss with an impounded truck 600miles away with not a call etc from the driver. The lads maybe in serious phock, something to hide, no-one knows. To see pics his name on FACEBOOK is “Richie Woods” and if anyone has any info they can contact his boss direct, again through FACEBOOK “Liam Boyle”. Dont have a number yet.

Seems strange, either serious head trauma or something to hide.

Hope he’s ok and he was ‘just’ ■■■■■■

Hmm, I suspect there’s probably more than one Liam Boyle on Facebook.

Seconded, I hope he is OK unless he was drunk or running bent.

I hope the driver is OK,

I remember something similar some years ago when a truck crashed, again medics helped the driver but he wondered off when no one was looking and climbed over a crash barrier, probably, unaware that he was on a bridge, poor chap fell to his death…

It would be nice to hear a positive outcome to this

maybe he just panicked? seems odd though, he most likely had something to hide

J5 on the M2 is a notorious spot for this happening…

Leaves the truck owner in some mess, obviously didn’t have the balls to face him. Maybe a dodgy license or full of drink loads of possibilities, hope the owner can get his truck released soon so it can be fixed and get earning again.

People only do a runner from an accident when they have something to hide i’m afraid, either no licence, been drinking or over his hours or something along those lines.

Usually, but before condemning the driver, let us not hope he has sustained a head injury causing confusion, memory loss etc. Though I have to admit if that was the case he should have soon been picked up by some body…

Yes and he was attended to by an ambulance crew.

Most drivers I’ve meet seem none too bothered about “being over their hours”. Not to the point of “Sheeet! - Now I’ll have to kill you!” extent anyways… :stuck_out_tongue:

Do people really wander off in a daze as a normal thing after a head injury, or just lie there waiting for an ambulance in the cold?

At the A&E…

Ambulance Medic: “We’ve got this one to admit guys. Slight head contusion, but massive hyperthermia!”
