Hello from Teesside (Actually, the north sea)

I joined this forum just a few weeks ago, but followed it for a while before that, I worked in a petrochemical processing plant as an electrical maintenance engineer and was seriously debating getting my HGV license as I really fancied attempting to become a tanker driver (Yes, the wages where a part of it) although now I am at my first week working for Maersk Oil offshore so I may have to quell my passion to be a HGV driver for now…

So just here for the banter and pics.

Well I was on 31k p/a and don’t get me wrong I loved the job but I’ve always been interested in tankers for some reason and I give up hope of getting offshore due to the amount of application forms o had filled in to no avail but I kept pestering maersk and eventually got in.

Let’s just say a tanker driver wages no longer interest me  but maybe one day I will get to drive one.

You’d be a very lucky man and I’d be following wherever you were if you were going to be earning 31k per year in LGV driving lol!

He may well be but that will be an old contract it is all about supply & demand all you have to do is look at the job centre website to see what they are paying in you area approx £7.50 for CE

Not a prob being here you may be able to answer something constructively
