@9:37 mins in it shows the aftermath of a Lorry crash where the driver was ejected out of the cab and somehow ended up under the cab , he was rescued by other drivers who released him from underneath the cab and dragged him to safety,

Yeah, nice to see that there are some decent people around, he was a lucky man no two ways about that
Incident was on 8th August 2011 at Allerton Park, Junction 47, on the A1(M).
Was a Scania unit from KGT Logistics NW Ltd (Haydock) which shunted in to the back of a David Hathaway unit.
As the guy is alright I hope nobody will mind these fairly trivial details.
How does a cab come off the chassis like that ? makes you think don’t it
I don’t know if I’m right but when the cab pops off its mounts in a crash it seems a bit more safe then if the cab gets crushed.

Same principal that when an F1 car crashes you see wheels, spoilers ect… go flying off in all directions, they’re designed too as it takes the forces away from the crash.
