After leaving the A1 onto the A184 into Newcastle you are shortly warned of an height restriction of 10’6" ■■ Where is this restriction ? I cant find it
I think it’s the outside lane

Yeah I read that, but why ■■
Something to do with the flyover I think… No idea why though, you can come the other way
Cheers, someone must have thought it made sense when ordering the signs
Outside lane on the flyover heading towards Newcastle. Its for the wind you see Vehicles over 10’-6" and caravans must use the roundabout under the flyover and rejoin it on the bridge
But come back from Newcastle you can use the flyover without any problems.

That’s what I thought and said, but I still don’t understand it
If you’re in the right hand lane, you could fly around there on the limiter and hit the bridge flat out.
If it’s windy, this could have a bad outcome.
They tell you to use the left lane because you’ve got to leave the dual carriageway, drop down onto the roundabout and then drive onto the bridge off the sliproad. So it’s very unlikely you’ll be up to speed by the time you hit the bridge.
That’s the way I see it anyway.
