The first figure given is a decimal.

The first one is more than 12 feet 9 and a half inches. The second is a just over over 12 feet 11 inches.

  1. 12 feet 9 inches and thirty five sixty fourths of an inch. Probably best to go for 12 ft 10 inches.

  2. 12 feet 11 inches and one eigth of an inch. Probably safe to go for 12 ft 11 inches.

In both cases, the two heights are exactly the same. In the first example, 12.7952756 feet is just a shade over 12 feet 9-and-a-half inches
