Heavy Haulage to Spain - Question

I have just had a call from an ex Army mate of mine who lives here in Spain regarding moving 2 x FV433 Abbot Self propelled guns down from Northampton to Albox near Almeria.

They weigh about 16 tonnes each and are 2.6M wide and 2.5M high.

Any ideas on cost or the best way to transport them (by road or sea) would be appreciated.

incidentally he runs a business here which lets people have the chance to drive ex military hardware.

jj72 on here will be your man

I have no idea about the costs for transport, however i do hope that
he has looked into the export side
of moveing military artillery, as he may find him self with rather large problems
as regards end user certifcate,
my tip for transport would be to go via the ferry services UK–SPAIN as this means
you only have to deal with one country
as regards the nessacry paperwork
and permits, but i am no expert,

As regards export papers hes fairly clued up as he already has a couple of decommisioned CVR(T) tracked recce vehicles - one of which now sports Spanish number plates and is road legal!!

The big thing with the papers is a certificate proving that the gun has been decommisioned and cannot be put to any further use - apparently this is done before the MoD release the vehicles from reserve stock.
