Nice old RB there Bewick, any info on where that was going to/from? I must admit that although I’m not a fan of these flash motors, the Ponsonby fleet does look immaculate.
Well “pv83” I can tell you that the MAP fleet is maintained to the same high standard to that which they are presented visually and not only that they are worked extremely hard day in day out ! I’ll try and find out the movement details of the old RB and get back to you. Cheers Bewick.

Any ideas of what this pusher unit could be?
I was going to guess at Hendrickson, but I can’t find any that look like that. Other possible makes I tried were Hayes, Pacific and Brockway, but none of those match either. Not a very good week for the Mystery Truck Department, this.
In that group of French pics, there was a 6x6 Renault. Never seen one of those before.
Regarding your comment about the French autoroute bans, Patrick, I think you are right, there was some thinking that the general travelling public on peages should not be inconvenienced when they have paid to be there.
But I’m with you, quite apart from the cost (which you wouldn’t pay and neither did I when I was working), I much preferred the Nationals to the A/routes. Not something Gauthier junior, Paul’s son, could understand when told that a single pallet I was too late for the rdv to deliver in Provence somewhere, had travelled the direct route rather than the long way round on the a/routes. He seemed to think that I was late because of the route I had taken, until I proved to him that the time, 9 hours, was exactly the same either way. And I had saved him a load of money into the bargain.

The cab with the curved screens was used by several different model trucks here in OZ early 70s Diamond Reo Autocar Hayses I.m thinking this vehicle shown is badged Autocar.

As promised “pv83” I can advise you of the movement details for the old RB19. It was on behalf of the Chasewater Light Railway and as their regular Haulier of choice MAP collected the RB from Llangollen Steam Railway and delivered it to CLR at Brownhills. Cheers Bewick.

Not sure what the costs are nowadays for the peage David, as the device I’ve got attached to my windscreen only bleeps and the barrier opens and I’m off!
I like to avoid the autoroute when I’m on holiday though, so much more to see on the RN’s

That’s been discussed all over the place, but I can’t remember what the conclusion was. IIRC, it is a one-off special, possibly using ex-war axles. The cab’s easy- late 1950s/early '60’s Van Eck, as fitted to many S-V LV75s.
Dutch registration; probably also dutch cab, possibly on a MOL chassis?
I have some photographs of early Ginaf 6x6 chassis in my files. IIRC, from my previous attempts to identify this vehicle, that I concluded that it was probably a Ginaf, possibly using Diamond T axles. Here’s a Ginaf outside their factory, which carries a banner advertising their Diamond T- based vehicles.
