Staying on the concrete beam subject a bit longer, does anyone recognise the unit shown?
Hi Patrick, a bit here about the firm viewtopic.php?f=35&t=13050 morphing into FridgedFreight.

Some more from the shoe box collection, this time from v.d. Meijden, one of their specialities is transporting large concrete beams, which they used to do with a fleet of FTF’s, but before that they had quite a interesting fleet consisting of DAF, Kromhout, Verheul and I think even a Hogra? The unit shown in the 2nd and 3th pic could be a Leyland with home built cab?
Very interesting pictures indeed! Yes, the first one is a Hogra, recognisable from its logo. I guess Pics 2 & 3 are DAFs, but I had never seen RHD DAFs before. The driver of Pic 2 certainly felt glad to have RHD in that very moment! The bonneted ones are Kromhouts.

Here’s a Hogra H7, the last truck built by that manufacturer about which I didn’t find more information.

Don’t think DAF offered RHD versions at the time, it’s more likely a British built chassis with a home built cab on it? Might be wrong as usual though…

That move was featured in a British Transport film Buzzer and the train was on its way to the London Science museum.

Thanks to Patrick and other contributors for updating my knowledge on Dutch trucks! These Hogras were finely built, with an resemblance to MAN trucks of that time (F8, I think).
