Not far off your max weight then, that tare weight is not too bad either, I see you have managed to bag yourself a Nooteboom!

Couldn’t get a better a shot of it, but this Goldhofer looked interesting.

Far too heavy for my taste Pete, before you know it, I’m running at 80t again! How I long for my little low loader…

I thought that MAN and Scania had a bit of a tie up regarding a top power V8 engine a few years ago? or may be it was Liebherr?

From a distance I thought I was seeing a Foden, then seeing the three pointed star, could it be a Ugandan Mercedes. But no, it is a CNHTC Howo, In Uganda, I saw quite a few of the Chinese made tractor units - also quite a few 8x4s.

China National Heavy Duty Truck Group Co., Ltd., CNHTC or Sinotruk Group is a Chinese state-owned truck manufacturer headquartered in Jinan, Shandong province. It is currently the third largest truck manufacturer in Mainland China.

That reminded me of this tractor unit I had to load in Zeebrugge, years ago. First thing that came to mind was if it was some sort of Scania prototype. Was going to the BAUMA in Munich, had a quick spin in it, but the turning circle was just unbelievable. Can’t say I was impressed with the rest of the building quality either, a lot of cheap hard plastics was used on the interior.

Ooh, I think Davidoff explained that once on the Saviem thread mate, I’m not sure what the craic is now, but they did use a Liebherr engine for some time (V8, the former V10 was of own design if I’m not mistaken).
