i posted a topic asking the same question about 6 months ago
i ended up buying one from amazon for about £25
and its ok for me
i do occasional nights out so for me its fine
all i do is make frozen meals in tinfoil trays .defrost one
the night before then put in lunchbox cooker plug in about 2 hours before i want to eat it.
no good for raw uncooked food. food has to of been cooked 1st
or it cooks ready meals from supermarkets
as say there ok for me if your a tramper doubt there be much good. but good for me
If you’re worried about a heated lunchbox switch to boxer shorts!!!
Nifty little gadget, as mentioned ideal for ready meals, won’t cook a raw pork chop for instance but for £25 can really go wrong
I have a Road pro one and to be honest it’s the best thing I’ve bought for meals it gets very warm and will do a meal in under an hour they are dear at about £60 but I feel they are worth it will even warm food in their tins

I bought one on recommendation from a colleague, i was dubious at first but it’s brilliant. Takes about an hour for warm food, i leave mine for about 2 hours and it’s piping hot. As said it won’t cook raw food but precooked is fine.
I remember them advertising Cooler / hot boxes, They kept your fish and chips hot and your milk cold. Ideal for camping, that’s fine if you have room for two and a reliable power supply
