And in our local village paper the council are removing the children’s swings due to health and safety fears 
I don’t have small children, or are close enough to any kids who use this park, but I feel very strongly about this. The kids will die of diabetes or heart failure long before they get their teeth knocked out by a swing due to inactivity.

The problem is either they are afriad that some parent can see making an easy buck from the Council or they are using Health and Safety as a cover to either stop having to pay for maintainence in the park or to get the parked closed down so they can sell the land.

Obviously has’nt carried out a risk assessment.The correct method in that case would have been to stand on the horizontal waste pipe and hold on to the vertical one with the right hand to prevent back strain and the risk of the planks slipping.

Look on the bright side they obviously did’nt have an impact fuse in the bomb on the forklift when it was driven off the bank and whoever threw the dog end away made sure that the tanker was parked well away from any buildings first.The pilot of the plane is obviously not wearing a parachute so that he will stay with it and steer it away from any houses if the easy start does’nt work and they say that being made to hold up a target during shooting excercises is just the Chinese way of making sure that no one ever misses.
