who remembers mckelvies transporting red hot slabs of steel from ravenscraig to another steel plant right through motherwell town centre with just a steel “box” over the top of slabs on old army tank trailers !!! try n do that now!!!

hot ingots were transported at parkgate from the old site,to the new plant on public roads.erf Sabrina pulling two trailers,my dad drove these 1963.would like to see mcelvies opperation
