health and safety

Hi I work for Motor Transport newspaper and I’m looking at health and safety issues for drivers at hubs. I’m especially interested in the pallet network sector which has suffered a number of incidents in recent months.

I’d appreciate any stories and experiences from network trunk drivers and/or any other health and safety issues that you’ve come up against.

Many thanks.

Liz.
I always wear my “high vis” when I have a leg over, I believe in safe ■■■.

I can give you health and safety issues.
Lidl, Aldi, and Netto come to mind as being at the top of the list.

you deliver to these places and you are told that you have to unload yourselves with their equipment. If you say you don’t know how the trucks work (they are electric trucks) then you are given 2 minutes tuition.

I know of at least two people that have been injured because the truck would not stop when required to do so, both sustained injured ankles.

Saying that, I cannot fault Tesco Sainsbury or Asda’s they are very good.
