Health and safety

On wednesday I was doing a drop in leeds
and when I was on the back of the vehicle
tacking the straps off I seen out the corner
of my eye a forklift driver fall of the side of the
fork truck. So I jumps down telling the forklift
driver who was unloading me to give me an
hand to help the man and he said leave him.
The man was trying to get free so I told him to
try and keep still as the other guy was getting help.

He kept is body straight and still as possible and
I holded him in that position to try and take the weight
off his leg as he was hanging upside down by his
foot. About 1 minute later the guy comes back with
the manger who is the first aider/health and safety
person also. He said to the man are you ok and the
man said I am ok just embarrassed and want to get
up. The first aider/health and safety man then spent
about another 2 minutes asking him to explain what
happened before we could pick him up.

The man hanging by his foot told the first aider/health
and safety man he got his foot stuck under the pedal
and fell of the side while trying to get off the fork truck.
We then picked the man up who seemed to be ok
except for a cut elbow but did see him a few minutes
later rubbing his lower back before continuing with
his work.

The fork lift driver who finished unloading me said they
cannot move him as he could sue saying so and so
moved me. He and another person then started calling
the man who fell a clumsy fat ■■■■■■ ect.

I finding shocking to see that they left him hanging upside down
asking him questions he could have answered when freed.

The way of the world today Convoy I’m afraid  . Same thing happened to me when I went for a tumble straight off the side of my curtain sider a few months back. I landed with a right old thud on the concrete yard. Apart from being a bit dazed I felt okay and tried to get up but I had an agonising pain in my lower back which I made known to the guys stood round when I yelped “arrrrgh, my back, my back” and screwed my face up. The guys quickly retracted their helping hands then I can tell thee.

Luckily I was okay and had just landed a bit funny but you just never know which [zb] these days will sue you for every penny they can get, friend or not.
