There is a largeish parking area with toilets and butty van(daytime only i think 
) at St Clears.on A40
dont know what its like at night but would think its fairly quiet, someone will know.

If you mean the big layby with the cafe at the M4 end, I have parked there a couple of times it seems ok, i never had problems there.
Only grumble is the number of cars popping in and out, flashing their bloody interior lights etc !!!
Mind you it could be worse 
No further on than that after Carmarthan and heading for HFW. Just before the roundabout where you turn for Cardigan.
There is a parking area with Toilet’s on the A40 just before you get to the A478 Roundabout nr Narberth not stopped there myself but a few of our guy’s have and said it’s ok nice and quiet.

IIRC there used to be a lorry park in HFW itself but last time i parked there was 1991. (not much help that really sorry)
Ah yes I know the one you mean now, yeah its ok. Quite a few cars in and out as per usual cos all the mucky pervy truckers need entertainment
