Hazard/theory mock tests, are they like the real tests?

As the title really, Hazard/theory mock tests, are they like the real tests■■? i’ve been practicing all day & fortunately i’m passing both consistantly, i know in my own mind i need to read more of the heavy goods book to get better pass score & highway code to brush up road signs & road layouts etc etc but…i’m doing ok

my hazard/theory cd is the new 2013 version so is it anything like the real deal i have my test booked so hoping to do ok

I didn’t have the CD-ROM, just bought the book and did a few online tests and that was plenty of practice for passing both. You just need to get used to the clicking on the hazard perception to make sure you’re in the best scoring zone. click when you see the hazard (probably gonna be too early) then take a breath and wait a second, and click again, and repeat once more. You should easily get a decent score like that. Relax and take your time, use your loaf, and you’ll be fine.

The real hazard test is like the car is at walking pace, just click once then after a second click again. Covers you if you click to soon on a hazard.

As he said! Lol , sorry

thankyou for such a quick reply kevthechalk bruce & others-much appreciated!

i started reading or should i say flicking through the dsa heavy goods book about a week ago & i’ve found reading that more helpfull than the theory questions book

i’m passing both MOCK hazard & theory consistantly so hopefully that will see me right for the real tests

cheers feel a little more confidant, i was struggling with the hazard but i have “nailed” the technique needed for that now, myself i have been doing singular clicks for each side road & then clicking once or twice on approach to “blatant” hazards, then click 5 times whilst passing the hazard, if you see a car crossing the white lines in the middle of the road click the mouse anyway

my fingers n toes are crossed!!!

Yeah they’re pretty much identical. Just keep doing them on the computer and you’ll be fine. I used the discs and passed HP, Theory and CPC first time.

I know before I did mine, I did two mock tests every night for two weeks and a hazard one. I got to the test and breezed the questions coz I had seen them all. I had original dvla disc, £20 or 25 to buy?

Just don’t click too often. Only click when you can see an obvious hazard or think something might develop. The key is being relaxed and spacing your clicks out. You do need to have a good read of the theory test book though, cos there’s plenty of questions that could be thrown up. I took mine on holiday last year and read it while sunbathing, and made notes of any specific facts and figures (weights, heights, speeds etc) that I was having trouble remembering.

Done my theory and hp yesterday passed the questions part using a disk my friend give meh, was a few years old but the questions where all the same, you just have to put the hours in to know all the questions, failed the hp part by 1 mark, think i might have clicked to early, would do what others have suggested an click a few times.
