I was on the way up the A134 towards Lynford, I seen this parking area,it looked a nice scenic place to stop, but I thought better of it when I saw the low trees, has anyone brought a truck into that parking area 3 miles before Lynford, going north
Lots of cars stop there for midnight picnics. Looks like they’re having a disco too, theres lots of flashing lights.

Sounds like a good place to stop
Theres several picnic areas up there but have seen many closed at night. Would be careful of the trees esp if droving a decker and not stopped as ground stability for 40 tonnes (often not tarmac).
Plus awkwardly positioned cars who won’t understand you flashing them (as Nite Owl mentioned, from what I been told by locals).
Would stick to the laybys.
Not really suitable for an artic. However you can just about get away with a rigid. They are owned by The Forestry Commision and Id wager they will have a go at moving you on as there are boards up saying no overnight caravan/camping
