Went for Pallex to Mansfield,swaped trailer and then were all gone. couldn’t exit as Gate was closed and needed an hour banging on the Door till Cleaner had a look whats on. After phoneing bet around she found the switch

Happened to me many times over the years. I have had drivers here that say they got forgotten at drops but in my opinion they were just trying to pull a fast one to get paid for doing nothing.
A while back, we got a phone call from one of the hauliers that deliver to us. Asking why his driver had been sat in a queue for 4 hours. He hadn’t, he was tipped immediately upon arrival. Turns out he was parked on the road along side our yard. Turns out that several drivers from the same company was trying it on. So we were asked to write arrival and tip times on the paperwork.
Loading up a 40ft box in Brighton at a self storage place, got there at 3 and started loading, it was going to take a while so they had pre arranged access after the site staff went home so they had the gate access code. 5 o clock came and went so the staff had left and it was just us in there. At about 9pm they’d finished and it was now dark and raining, entered the code into the gate ‘ACCESS DENIED’. Called the number on the code machine which let straight to the staff who already left at 5.
Ended up waiting another hour for somebody to come out and open the gate for us…
