Went over the yard this morning to get my licience as it was time for my medical and this stood there
Now this would’nt have been my one but I had the choice of one the same spec or the 57 plate 105 I chose , now did I do right or wrong taking the 105
I’d have picked the XF. …better ‘standing room’ in the cf, and larger storage space, but i’m not a fan of the driving position. feel too closed in and cramped, and you seem to sit low down in them for me.
I’d’ve done the same unless the cf was considerably newer. Nice looking motor that you chose though imo

The CFs a brand spanker
Ah, I’d’ve struggled to be honest then. Still think I’d’ve had the xf but only because it looks nicer. Would have to fight the temptation to fit all sorts of chrome tat and spend my weekends polishing the fuel tank though
Which is nicer to drive?
I chose the XF because I’m usually away all week and the XF has no engine hump so seems easier to live in has a bigger fridge and a microwave although he would have put it in the CF if wanted , the CF has every extra you can think of bar a microwave …
As for driving I think there on par with each other other than the CF feels cramped with the engine hump right beside you…
Are they both the same power?
Yea both 460s
XF then
I would have told them to come back when you bought somthing decent .

Blimey there’s some flack coming get yer tin hat on.
WHY dont they get you a proper shunter like this
XF end of.
Ken.
Nah, go fo the CF, more room in the cab, at least you can stand up!!, and easier to drive, good auto box and non of that xf blind spot on the nearside, i drive a CF in a fleet of XFs and i think i got the best motor ,, thats away all week too, but maybe i
m easily pleased
Me personally I’d have gone for the CF
Theres too many steps into the XF
XF. Best cab out of the 2 of them. Bunk is useless in the CF unless you’re under 5’10 as it’s not long enough to sleep straight if you’re taller, as I am. CF cab is cramped in comparison to XF as well, no space to move around and get comfy.
Cf all day (or week!) long for me! Looks brill not many are done up like that so that’d be more unique…

I’m 6’2 and i can fit fine in the cf bunk stretched out, I would however have gone for the XF if you sleeping in it all week as the bed is considerably wider(not that i’m suggesting you need a wide bed ) and the hump in a cf is a pain the rear end!, plenty of locker space though.
XF all day long

My thinking too. If you do quite a few trailer changes and/or deliveries in day, the lower unit is very welcome, unless you’re still 20 something.
My God, the way some of you go on about these huge modern comfy cabs, get real, this is the type of cab guys to used to spend 2 - 3 weeks away in running to Italy & beyond in the 70’s. You’ve never had it so good.
