Hello lads and lasses :slight_smile: Just wondering if any of you used to travel to Scandinavia using this ferry route? It sailed it’s last journey today and it made me wonder. Or was a ferry to Holland and through Europe the usual route?

We did a trip from Harwich to Hook of Holland in the early 90s,such a bad place to get to,but quite decent ferries though. :unamused: :slight_smile:

The Danish drivers I spoke to tended to drive down from Denmark to Holland and cross over to the UK from there. They said it was quicker than taking the Esbjerg to Harwich ferry.

used to cross regular Harwich to Hirtshals in Denmark, then drive about 40 k’s to fredrickshaven and then catch the boat to gothenberg.
It was about 30 hours to Hirtshals.
