Was anybody on here a member of this club back in the late 70s/early 80s? Or if not a member, maybe a regular traveller on the H-H route? My dad used it on a weekly basis, and still remembers some of the old names: Mick Dabbs, John McSorley (RIP), Phil Jackson (RIP), Chris Bolt.

Hi Scaniason.I was a member during the early 80s when i worked for NEDU BV.I only really joined for any cheapies that were going as a member.I still have the blue ‘‘drivers map\folder’’ with my name on it.Mike
I’m sure my dads is still in his loft somewhere, I’m seeing him at the weekend, I’ll have to see if I can pinch it!
I remember Mick Dabbs, used to be in the office at Harwich Transport?
I’ll ask him next time I see him. I remember him as a driver for Nedu, Visbeen and Deluxe Shipping, before he set up on his own and then had an extended holiday courtesy of HM! He went on to set up Bawdsey Haulage, before selling it out to FW, and now runs coaches and minibuses.

Hi all.Yes,Mick was in the office in Harwich when they had the office on the quay.He was one of the first English drivers to work on the Dutch side in Vierpolders together with Mick Gaines,Ashton,Tony Saunders and Chris Bolt.
Just had a thought.I may be mixing Mick Dabbs and Mick Gaines up.One of then was in the office i know.
Just had a night out with dad. He said Mick Gaines was in the office, but although it was in the same office as HTC, he’s sure he actually worked for NEDU or Visbeen at the time. Sadly he’s not still got the RORO folder though
