Harthill services

As I recall it was a proper service station last time I went in.
And now it would appear it is a crummy petrol station.
So what has happened to it?

And what ever happened to Harthill Truck Stop?

The truck stop closed years ago now

The petrol station does have parking for HGV just not many

When was the last time you were there gherkins230? 1978?

I must admit I haven’t been there since the late 1990s and I wouldn’t have classed it as “proper” then.

I thought you had left the sad world of transport to go and work in a scrapyard after the roasting you got on your “Working for an Irish outfit” post. What happened, did you challenge the boss of the scrappy to a fight and unfortunately for you he accepted?

Lots of services are nothing more than glorified petrol stations. They have all the symbols like fuel, food, tea/coffee etc but in reality its deisel at £2 a litre,a packet of crisps and machine tea that tastes like dirty dishwater (and costs £3)

I wouldn’t go near harthill never any spaces always chocca, roundabout lunchtime forget it entirely. My mate got a fine from the police because he took his 45mins in the on slip as it was full, couldn’t make it anywhere else. Yeah bad planning from him but he says the run was mega tight drive time wise. I thought that was bad cricket from the fuzz, warning would have done.

I was in Bothwell this morning for fuel as the night shift never left me enough for today and one of your 18t was in fuelling up. Not often in Bothwell anymore and I know what you mean about missing Stacey. [emoji12] Ps. My first drop was your place this morning. Was in about 9.15 and back out by 9.30.[emoji3]

Yeah, well the is a few bright sparks that get away with defying a instruction of where to fuel up :unamused:
