Harrisons of Sheffield

This has been mentioned a few times before, and people have asked to see photos of the yard. Well you might be interested in viewing this colection I found recently:

brilliant set top marks

d’you notice though, they seem to have been taken ‘thru the fence’, not sure the guy had actually got access to the yard?

I think a lot of the photos have been lifted from other peoples websites as there are at least 4 of my pics on there that are being used without my permission

great photos !!!,who cares who owns the photos as long as we can see them.you’re never gonna get rich off a couple of photos

Thanks for the link to my pictures - if you look at all of them you’ll see that most were taken with permission of Peter Harrison by me.

As it says if you follow the group link- if I have inadvertantly used yours - please tell me and I will credit you / remove.

The ones in there that are not taken by me were sent to me by a member on another forum - who stated that I could use them as a friend of his took them¬! Apologies - I am happy to remove them / credit you - over to you ?

There are also a number of magazine scans referenced as such - I have made no attempt to pass those off as my own - or indeed any of the others that were not taken by me

Fryske - Thanks for posting them, they’re superb pics.

I have seen Harrisons barreling down the A38 to the West Midlands for donkeys years, I have also had a peek in the yard when coming past and like the way time has stood still. But the place is a bloody tip and needs preserving or opening up to the paying public.

Such a waste of the British transport heritage. I can imagine the council workmen coming in with bailiffs and just destroying the place because a nimby has complained.

Those S80’s could be back at work on Monday morning with a bit of T-Cut

Did I say, brilliant pictures? well done Fryske and the other photoists.

cheers Wheelnut — i suspect the mice have eaten most of the wiring in those Fodens…
