I know of 1 OD running on the hargreaves contract running out of Maltby colliery, he started out buying one of the old outfits (unit + trailer) he recconed he could make a living running 3+ loads in/out of monkton/immingham/ferrybridge on days, but once the truck dropped to bits and the engine blew up, he jacked it in for a while especially after spat the dummy, after he ended up running nights out running road salt out of middlewich to scotland the other year. this was also down to the fact his buddy on the weighbridge who dished out the jobs got sacked, so there was no garantee hed get the 3+ local loads a day. But now he has another rig, back on the same cushy runs. A buddy of mine is probably the longest serving Hargreaves driver (now drivers rep) based at Maltby, now he sits in the office running various bits, covers trucks where drivers havent turn in that day etc, and also runs around in the van
