Hi guys,

What ever happened to hargrave international■■? as i use to ride with a driver called joe salmon, in a daf 2800 Ati, i was 15 (1985) at the time the run was from melton mowbray down to ascot and back and tip at the coldstore back in melton! had some fond memories of it all with the big blue HI on white background etc.

Think Turners bought out Hargrave, as there was some running out of lutterworth at the back of Costco, in Turners colours with Hargrave name on.

Would that be the Hargrave from Spalding? If so,Wincanton/Unigate were involved with them in the early 90s and we had some Hargrave trailers in our fleet at Maltby,not International though.IIRC we had three,all fitted with hanging carcass rails.

This is one that was rebuilt after a bad accident,if i remember correctly the chassis rails had to be replaced.It was 1990 or 1991 and all i had to do was deliver it back to their yard at Donington,Linc’s from Leicester.
