was all the tailbacks on the m42 southbound last night caused by using hard shoulder as exit lane or was something going on on a45 [i think it was that one], about 19.30. ta

you could be right jammy but its the 1st night ive seen hard shoulder being used as 4th lane[ exit lane] and i thought if thats what weve got to look forward too it doesnt look good, i just hope your right 
apparently it’s to do with the use of the hard shoulder for exiting the motorway and road work on the A45
I heard on the radio that there was an event at the NEC just kicking out at peak time last night causing traffic chaos at the A45/M42/NEC junction.
